Sponsorshop Program overview
As part of our mission to minister to the poor, we created a program focused upon reducing the cycle of poverty through education. Our sponsorship program provides financial support to parents primarily through distribution of school uniforms, shoes and school supplies to their school age children . Since its inception, we are seeing an increasing number of high school graduates, more and more of whom are electing to continue their education at the university level.
We at MTM and the children in the Sponsorship Program are very grateful for the love and monetary support we receive. Most importantly, we are grateful that you as a sponsor heeds Jesus’ teaching in Matthew 25:40 that as we do for the least of our brothers, we do for Him.
You may renew your sponsorship(s) online at www.mtmaustin.org or by sending a check to Mission to Mexico, P.O. Box 92351, Austin, TX 78709. Please note on the check that it is for the Sponsorship Program. Please also note, that for the first time since the Sponsorship Program’s inception it has become necessary to increase the annual sponsorship fee due to rising costs. The new sponsorship donation is $130/child. Your donation is tax deductible and a receipt will be furnished for that purpose. We will do our best to assign the same child(ren) you previously sponsored, but we have experienced a large turnover of the children in the Program. We have added enough children to replace those that did not return, so you may be assigned a new child.

You may sponsor a child for only $130/year. Those funds will be used to provide that child the required school supplies for the entire school year, a backpack, shoes, and summer and winter school uniforms. Currently 200+/- children are sponsored annually. The actual number of sponsored children each year depends upon available funds.
